RONNIE SPECTOR RETURNS TO THE U.K.

TO SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER WITH NEW CHRISTMAS

RELEASE AND SELECT LIVE DATES

“Go and experience the ultimate sonic stocking stuffer!”

says The New York Daily News of

“Ronnie Spector’s Best Christmas Ever and Beyond!”

Rock icon and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ronnie Spector is bringing a New York holiday tradition to the U.K. this December. Ronnie Spector’s Christmas Party is a raucous and intoxicating blend of Ronettes hits, cult classics, holiday favorites, a splash of doo-wop, and plenty of Ronnie’s inimitable off–the–cuff commentary on anything and everything.

Ronnie Spector and her American band will be performing live on December 6 & 7 at The Jazz Café, London; December 9 at HMV Institute, Birmingham; and December 11 at HMV Picture House, Edinburgh.

This version of Ronnie’s show is titled Ronnie Spector’s Best Christmas Ever and Beyond! It coincides with her new holiday CD, Ronnie Spector’s Best Christmas Ever, to be released November 2010. Best Christmas Ever and Beyond! will feature hits including ‘Baby I Love You’ and ‘Be My Baby’ and such classics as ‘Sleigh Ride’ (her recording of the song is the Number Three U.S. holiday hit of the past decade, according to ASCAP), ‘Frosty the Snowman,’ and Ronnie’s version of  Frankie Lymon’s ‘It’s Christmas Once Again’ from the new CD. (Ronnie Spector is the only artist with two songs on ASCAP’s Top Twenty most–played holiday songs list of the past five years.)

When the Bad Girl is ready to rock, she’ll have the solid support of her long-time American band including twenty–year bassist and musical director Jeremy Chatzky (Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle), guitarist Daniel Rey (producer of the Ramones and Ronnie Spector), drummer Liberty Devitto (Billy Joel), vocalists Elaine Caswell  (Cyndi Lauper, Cher), Jenni Muldaur (Lou Reed, Eric Clpaton) and keyboard player Danny Obadia (now in his seventeenth year with Ronnie).

As The San Francisco Chronicle said: ‘If it takes Christmas to bring Ronnie Spector out to play, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…Christmas is definitely her time of year!”
